2 Carrots, peeled and grated into long strips

1 small Sweet Onion, julienned

1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil

3 Tablespoons Dashi or Vegetable Broth

1 teaspoon Cooking Sake

1-2 teaspoons Chili Paste


  1. In a sauté pan over medium heat, lightly sauté the carrots and onion in oil
  2. Add dashi or broth and cook until absorbed, tossing gently to combine.
  3. Add mirin, sake, and chili paste to taste and toss again.  Cooking for one more minute.
