Our first heat wave of the season is upon us! Expect Valley temps Saturday and Sunday in Bakersfield to be near 105. Mountain temps will be in the upper 80’s and 90’s. A Heat Advisory is in place until 8pm Saturday. We will see a 4-5 degree cool down early next week as a series of troughs impact the Pacific Northwest. I know many will try to cool off in the Kern River this weekend. PLEASE STAY OUT, AND STAY ALIVE! We have a lot of great guides in the Kern River Valley who can safely take you on a cool down trip, so give them a call. They are trained and know how to give you a good time.
