California is still under a ridge of high pressure to our east. This will keep us hot and will also bring some isolated thunderstorms to the area again this afternoon in the Kern County Mountains.
We will see a pattern change by midweek with a system moving in from the north. This trough will usher in some cooler air, but the area will remain dry.
