Expect cooler temperatures in Kern this weekend followed by warming trend next week

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Strong winds gusts will affect the Kern County mountains and desert through Thursday morning.

Temperatures will lower to four to eight degrees below normal the next couple days and as much as 10 degrees below normal this weekend across the area.

A warming trend is expected early next week with temperatures rising to near normal for Halloween.

Air quality will be moderate with an AQI of 57.
