BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — An investigation is underway into a deadly crash on South Lake Road just east of Gardner Field.
Officials closed the roadways for a period of time on Monday just after noon. A 31-year-old woman was driving northbound on South Lake Road when she made an unexpected turn into oncoming traffic. The accident was a head on collision between her Honda SUV and a Chevy pickup truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
She died at the scene and two others were injured. It is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
