Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell is now 2-2 as a starting quarterback on the Silver and Black offense.

O'Connell has a passer rating of passer rating of 70.6 with 946 yards, three touchdowns, and six interceptions in six games played this season.

Against the Miami Dolphins, O'Connell finished the game throwing 24 completions on 41 attempts for 271 passing yards with one touchdown pass to Davante Adams and three interceptions.

Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby had the chance to express his thoughts to the media on O'Connell post-game after the 20-13 loss and most importantly how he and the Raiders believe in the fourth-round draft rookie quarterback out of Purdue.

“I just told him, ‘What happened in the past doesn't matter. What happens in the future doesn't matter. Just be you. Be you right here, right now. Flush everything and just go out there.’ I was like, ‘We believe in you,’ and that’s the truth. Aidan (O’Connell), he’s a young quarterback. It’s his fourth start. We believe in him fully. He made a lot of really good plays. There’s probably some plays that he wants back. I know he’s super critical, and that’s what you want, guys that are always wanting more. We believe in him 1,000%. That just kind of my message to him, it was just like, ‘We believe in you. Just go out there and be you.’ So he moved the ball down the field. They just – Jalen (Ramsey) just ended up making a great play. We love the guys we got in this locker room.”

Crosby finished the game with six total tackles with one sack against the Dolphins.

There are still plenty of games left on the schedule for O'Connell to learn and develop as a starting quarterback in the NFL. It will be very interesting to watch how O'Connell will continue to develop with six games left in the 2023-24 NFL regular season.

The Silver and Black will return home next week to celebrate Thanksgiving and take on their AFC West rival, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Sunday, November. 26, at 4:25 p.m. EST/1:25 p.m. PST.
