Woman leads officers on high-speed pursuit through Kern County

CHP arrested a woman who led officers on a high-speed pursuit stretching over 100 miles in two counties.

CHP says the chase started in Burbank and the woman reached speeds up to 120 mph. 

Officers used a spike strip to try and slow down the vehicle, but continued at high speeds before the pursuit ended south of Whisler Road on the northbound Highway 99.

The woman indicated told officers she did not take her medications and has a mental illness.
