Woman fights off assault at Bakersfield College, police search for suspect

UPDATE (April 13, 2018): Bakersfield police released a composite sketch of a suspect who attempted to sexually assault a woman in a bathroom at Bakersfield College Tuesday afternoon.

  • A White or Hispanic Male
  • Approximately 25 years old
  • 5’10”-5’11”
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a Grey tank top, Black hat (Worn backwards)
  • Tattoo on right bicep (Multi-colored boat)

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.

Authorities are looking for a man who attempted to assault a woman in a bathroom at Bakersfield College Tuesday afternoon.

The college’s Public Safety Office said a man described as being aged 20 to 30 years old, standing at 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a multi-colored boat tattoo on his right shoulder followed a woman into a restroom at around 1 p.m. in the college’s humanities building.

The college said the woman was able to ward off the attack and the man escaped the scene.

Bakersfield police said Thursday afternoon no arrests have been made.
