The city of Wasco received a very generous gift Tuesday night that could save a lot of lives.
Hall Ambulance donated five automated external defibrillators to the city, during Tuesday night’s city council meeting.
Owner Harvey Hall previously donated one AED to Wasco City Hall. When the city manager contacted Hall about purchasing five more, Hall donated those too.
“I think it is a wonderful thing. Anytime that you can prevent somebody from dying, actually dying, because of a lack of care, that is just a wonderful thing so we hope that these devices will serve the community very, very well,” Wasco Mayor Gilberto Reyna said.
The new AEDs will be placed in various locations in Wasco including the Public Works Department, wastewater treatment plant, Finance Department, Animal Control and the mechanic’s shop.
