Wasco man arrested for armed robbery

A man was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery at a smoke shop in Wasco.

On Nov 30, the House of Fun Smoke Shop was robbed at gun point by a masked suspect.

The investigation into the robbery led Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies to conduct a search warrant at a home in the 1100 block of 7th Place.

On Dec. 7, deputies located Armando Garcia Zendejas, 24, at the home. Zendejas was found with a .38 caliber revolver in his waist band, according to KCSO.

He was arrested and booked for robbery, being a masked criminal in possession of a firearm in public, participating in a criminal street gang, and carrying a concealed weapon while participating in a criminal street gang.
