Volunteer at The Mission at Kern County this Labor Day

The Mission at Kern County is looking for volunteers to help serve its residents on Labor Day.

The shelter is looking is asking for volunteers to sign up and help make sandwiches and clean up the kitchen Monday.

From 7 a.m. to noon volunteers will make about 200 sandwich lunches for shelter residents. Then from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. volunteers will be needed to clean the kitchen.

The shelter says it’s a great opportunity for completing a service project with friends, family or co-workers.
