A veteran’s lost service dog, that had a whole community rallying to find it, is back home with its family.
The Trulocks confirmed Mushka was found less than a half mile from where she went missing in Arvin.
Judy Trulock said says a woman in a trailer park found Mushka but didn’t have television so she didn’t know her story.
On Friday, the woman saw one of the fliers and called to say she had the dog.
17 News first reported the story of Mushka on Wednesday.
The dog has been part of Judy and Ron Trulock’s family for three years.
Trulock, a retired Navy captain, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease 10 years ago and had a Mushka at his side almost every day.
During a stop in Arvin, Mushka disappeared and the search for the service animal began.
