Update (Oct. 17): A man who Bakersfield Police Department said was wanted for a carjacking, was already in custody for an unrelated carjacking earlier this month, according to Sgt. Brian Holcombe. Jerome Satterfield, 40, was arrested Oct. 4 for an unrelated carjacking, according to police.

Original Story (Oct. 16): Bakersfield police say they got a clear picture of a man suspected in a carjacking after he blew past a red light and are now looking for him.

Police say the man pictured demanded the keys to a woman’s car in the 200 block of Coffee Road. He got in the car and sped off. Police then say the man ran a red light in the stolen car at Coffee Road and Stockdale Highway.

Police described the man as being in his 40s, with black hair, a black goatee. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on man’s identity is encouraged to contact Bakersfield police at 327-7111.
