UPDATE (Sept. 24, 2018): The coroner’s office identified a teenager as the person killed in a rollover crash last week.

The coroner identified 15-year-old Ivan Villafan of Inglewood as the person killed in the crash on the northbound Interstate 5 in Lebec on Friday.

The CHP says Villafan was not wearing a seat belt when his family’s GMC Yukon left the roadway and collided with a dirt embankment rolling over several times.

Four others were taken to Kern Medical.

CHP says alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.

The collision remains under investigation.
