The traffic trouble on Truxtun Avenue has begun and you’ve probably already felt it.
Work on the Truxtun Avenue Improvements Project began Monday. The project’s main goal? To ease congestion at the intersection of Truxtun Avenue and Oak Street.
The $6.9 million project will add one lane in each direction from just west of the Highway 99 overpass through the Oak Street intersection east of Elm Street.
With the improvements, it also means construction delays. A sign is up warning drivers to expect delays through early 2019.
