Dozens of parents have reached out to our newsroom, concerned about educators who are on administrative leave with the Kern High School District. Specifically, two male Liberty High School teachers and a North High School faculty member.
The district confirms all three men are on administrative leave — but officials won’t say why because it’s a personnel matter.
While the men haven’t been arrested and aren’t facing any charges, we know one of the Liberty High teachers has been cleared by the Bakersfield Police Department and detectives are actively investigating the other two.
Neither the BPD or the Sheriff’s Department said why the men are being investigated.
We are following these investigations and checking daily with local law enforcement. We will bring you new information as soon as it’s available.
