Teenage boy arrested for pointing gun at people during fight outside ampm on Ming Avenue

A 16-year-old boy was arrested after pointing a gun at several other people during a fight outside the ampm across from Valley Plaza Mall. 

Bakersfield police were called out to the convenience store, located at 3220 Ming Ave., around 1:40 a.m. Saturday. 

When officers arrived, they questioned several people at the scene and found a loaded .22 caliber pistol inside a vehicle in the parking lot, police said. 

The boy was booked into juvenile hall. 

His name has not been released.
