A tanker carrying 40,000 gallons of nitric acid caught fire on Interstate 5 Wednesday morning.
The incident caused such a scare, California Highway Patrol officers closed down all lanes of I-5, as well as the westbound lanes of Highway 166.
Fortunately, the fire was small and quickly contained.
No hazmat spill resulted, according to CHP.
The incident happened just before 5:00 a.m. and all lanes were cleared within an hour.
