Sunrise Recipe: Butterfinger Pie


Local teacher (and husband of 17’s Maddie Janssen) Justin Janssen was guest Friday morning on 17 News at Sunrise, and brought along his recipe for Butterfinger Pie.

Butterfinger Pie:

What you need to make the crust:

• 1 pack of Biscoff cookies

• 2 tablespoons of sugar

• 6 tablespoons of melted butter

Step 1: Crush cookies

Step 2: Combine ingredients

Step 3: Put in pie pan

Step 4: Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees

Step 5: Once pie crust has baked, let cool

What you need to make the pie filling:

• 1 tub of vanilla ice cream

• 4 Butterfinger bars

• Whipped topping of your choice

Step 1: Crush Butterfinger bars in a plastic bag

Step 2: Combine softened ice cream with crushed Butterfinger bars

Step 3: Pour into pie tin

Step 4: Add whipped topping

Step 5: Freeze for 1-2 hours before serving
