The Kern High School District is facing another lawsuit as a student says Centennial High School failed to protect him from being molested.
A lawsuit filed in court says the assault happened in May 2018.
The victim, a student diagnosed with high-functioning autism, says an older student locked him in a bathroom and sexually assaulted him.
According to the lawsuit, the victim had reported this student to teachers in the past, and the attacker was supposed to be under supervision at all times, but was not.
The lawsuit says a security guard had to get the victim out of the bathroom.
On Thursday, attorney Daniel Rodriguez says his firm may amend the lawsuit to ask the school district to add training to prevent a future assault.
17 News has reached out to the District for a response, and KHSD said they cannot comment on pending litigation.
