ShotSpotter call leads to arrest of 22-year-old with stolen gun

ShotSpotter technology helped police find and arrest a man with a reportedly stolen gun Sunday night.

The Bakersfield Police Department says officers arrested 22-year-old Carlos Santiago who was in possession of a stolen gun.

According to police, officers responded to the 400 block of Alpine Street for a ShotSpotter call and spotted a vehicle leaving the area at high speeds.

Officers say they stopped and searched Santiago’s car and found the Glock .40-caliber gun in the driver’s door pocket.
