The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a man wounded in Northeast Bakersfield.
The sheriff’s office says deputies were called to the 1000 block of Jeffrey Street just after 9:30 p.m. for a report of gunshot in the area.
When deputies arrived, they found a 27 year old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. The wound was not considered life-threatening.
Officials said a man in a light-colored sedan was seen headed eastbound on Jeffrey Street following the shooting.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
