Sheriff’s office investigating homicide in Lamont — county’s 55th of 2018

Officials identified the man found dead Monday morning in Lamont.

Jose Raymundo Martinez Esparza, 31, was found in the 10200 block of San Fernando Street at 3:30 a.m. Monday, according to Kern County coroner.

Deputies found him suffering what were described as “traumatic injuries,” Kern County Sheriff’s Office released. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
