The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted kidnapping in Oildale Monday afternoon.
A 15-year-old boy was riding his skateboard in the 800 block of Beardsley Avenue, when he says a man in his 50s drove by and started following him.
The teen says the man tried to grab him, but a witness intervened, and the man took off.
The man is described as a white, in his 50s, with long gray hair and facial hair. He was driving a 1988 dark brown Chevy extended cab 4×4 pick up truck. The bed was described as being full of trash.
