The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a threat of school shooting made against Alicante School in Lamont.
Several people contacted 17 News Monday evening about the threat circulating social media. The threat targeted the school for a shooting for Wednesday, Oct. 31.
The school is located at 7998 Alicante Ave. in Lamont.
The school’s principal contacted the sheriff’s office about it early Monday evening, Lt. Bill Smallwood said.
The sheriff’s office said it is contacting students, but do not know the source of the threat.
