The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said it has made an arrest in a case involving the sexual assault of a boy in East Bakersfield.
Sheriff’s officials said they located the owner of a truck and trailer believed used in the alleged kidnapping and assault reported on Sept. 1.
The Sheriff’s Office said it received a tip of a possible sighting of the suspected vehicle used in the abduction and sexual assault Monday morning.
Deputies said the accuser positively identified the owner of the truck and trailer as the man suspected in the alleged crime. The man was identified as Hilario Viruncruz by KCSO officials.
Deputies arrested Viruncruz and he was booked into the Central Receiving Facility on charges of false imprisonment, kidnapping and sexual assault of a minor.
