A second suspect in the murder of Jaime Herrera was taken into custody Saturday, thanks to assistance from the community, according to the Delano Police Department.
Gabriel Jacob Tarango, 21, was arrested around 2 a.m., police said.
Police did not specify how he was found, but thanked the community for their help in locating Tarango.
Tarango and Juan Alvarado, 20, are accused of shooting and killing Herrera, 27, June 8 at the corner of 14th Avenue and Clinton Street, near Freemont Elementary School.
Alvarado was arrested Thursday after a traffic stop near his home, police said.
Both men are being held without bail.
Alvarado is due in court Monday.
Tarango is due in court Tuesday.
