Updated Monday, 10:20 a.m.:

Search and rescue crews continued to search Monday for a man swept away by the Kern River Saturday morning.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team responded to the Keyesville area Saturday around 11 a.m. after receiving reports of two people in the river.

It was later determined that only one person was missing, identified as Jared Andrews, 27, from Hawthorne, in Los Angeles County.

Andrews was last seen falling off a rock into the river. His family shared photos of him with us.

Crews are utilizing boat, ground, and air teams as they continue to search for Andrews.

This is a developing story.
