A fraud investigation has begun into the former business manager of the Taft Union High School District.

The district announced the Kern County Superintendent of Schools opened an audit into an out-of-state bank account opened by the business manager.

The superintendent wants to determine if he used the account for unauthorized activity and if he opened it using false documentation.
