You can catch the 130th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, happening Tuesday morning on KGET-TV 17.
JJ’s Legacy will once again have a float in this morning’s parade. This year, they’re celebrating Jacob Mendiola their Donate Life float.
Mendiola was born with down syndrome in Bakersfield. He passed away in 2014 at just 14 years old. His family made the ultimate decision to give the gift of life and Mendiola’s heart, both kidneys and tissue helped the gift of life to several other people, according to JJ’s Legacy website.
Kaisha and Joey Kaminski are local residents who helped with the City of Hope float at this year’s Rose Parade. You can see their hard work by watching the Rose Parade from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on KGET.
