Commuters can expect to see nighttime closures on westbound Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield as roadwork continues.
Workers are installing new conduit and relocating fiber optic lines, which is prompting the closure of the outside westbound lane between Oak Street and the Highway 99 overcrossing.
Closures may be in place Monday through Friday, between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., through the end of the month, if weather permits.
At least one westbound lane will remain open while crews work in the area, and all lanes are expected to reopen prior to the morning commute, according to officials.
