Road work continues at Westside Parkway, overnight lane closures

News

Overnight lane closures will start happening again due to roadside work at Bakersfield’s Westside Parkway Thursday evening.

Contractors will be working on the Kern River Bridge Improvements Project to remove a sign structure from the Westside Parkway near Mohawk Street.

An overnight closure of the eastbound on/off ramps at Mohawk Street will start Thursday nigh at 9 and last until 5 Friday morning.

Eastbound traffic on the parkway will have to take the exit at Coffee Road or Truxtun Avenue.
