A Ridgecrest woman, along with three other men, was arrested by Fresno police following a drug bust, and police say, the woman’s children were with her when the crime happened.
Fresno police arrested 39-year-old Silvia Ochoa of Ridgecrest, 29 year-old Daniel Gonzales of Los Angeles, 31-year-old Joseph Sanchez of Downey, and 19-year-old Ruben Hernandez of Los Angeles Saturday. Police seized 11 pounds of methamphetamine worth $100,000.
The arrests happened on Saturday at an In-N-Out near Jensen Avenue and Second Street at around 6:15 p.m. in Fresno.
Police say Ochoa and Gonzales were in a brown SUV and were looking to sell the 11 pounds of meth to Sanchez and Hernandez.
Officers arrived and found Ochoa and Daniel Gonzales’ five children were in the SUV. The children’s ages range from 6 months to 14 years old.
Police said the children are now in custody of Fresno County Department of Social Services.
Ochoa and Gonzales were arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on various drug charges and felony child endangerment, according to police.
Sanchez was arrested and booked on drug charges, while Hernandez was arrested for numerous felony warrants, police said.
