Over a hundred youngsters from all over the county came out to the Bakersfield Racquet Club Saturday afternoon for a free tennis lesson.

The Kern County Tennis Association invited kids of all ages for a free lesson from professional players for Kids Day.

Children from the Bakersfield Police Activities League, the Boys and Girls Club and kids from around the community came out to try their hand at tennis.

In addition to hands-on instruction from the pros, kids also got their chance to see the players compete in a match first-hand.
