In one week, a new gallery will open with art honoring fallen veterans in Downtown Bakersfield.
Volunteers have been helping with the upcoming Portrait of a Warrior gallery on Eye Street.
Founder Lili Marsh says more than $250,000 in donations have come in.
Artists have been working for months.
You can still volunteer through Sunday between 8 a.m to 6 p.m. at the gallery located at 1925 Eye St.
The gallery is set to open Sept. 10. Admission is free.
