Polo Express train rides will continue chugging along inside Valley Plaza mall.
A post on the Polo Express Facebook page Monday said the mall has decided to allow the train to stay. The news comes just a week after the company announced the mall had terminated its license agreement and that rides would end March 31.
Now it appears parents and children can continue settling in for leisurely rides past eateries, clothing stores and other establishments inside the mall’s sprawling complex at 2701 Ming Ave.
“Everyone can continue creating lasting memories with your little ones and us here at Polo Express!” the Facebook post said.
The announcement was made April 1, but Polo Express emphasized it was not a joke.
While the train remains, the company said its owner was stepping down and the business given to another family member.
It said these changes were made due to ongoing harassment from the head of the mall security.
Valley Plaza management did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
