Police seek man suspected of stealing gas from vehicles in Downtown Bakersfield

Bakersfield police are asking for the public’s help identifying and finding a man they believe stole gas out of multiple vehicles parked near Adventist Health in Downtown Bakersfield. 

The thefts occurred in the 1600 block of 29th Street. 

The man is described as being in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing around 170 pounds. 

He has tattoos on both arms. 

He was seen driving a dark 90s Chevrolet Silverado Z71, with a sticker on its rear glass window, police said. 

Anyone with information on these thefts is asked to call Officer Montgomery at 661-326-3871 or the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.
