Police search for man suspected in carjacking at gunpoint

Bakersfield police are looking for a man that took a person’s car at gunpoint.

Officials say the carjacking happened on July 27 in the 700 block of Jefferson Street.

Police said the victim was sitting in a parked car, when a man approached, opened the car door and ordered the victim out of the car at gunpoint.

The suspect made threats to shoot the victim while getting the person out of the car.

The man got away in the car.

The man was seen wearing a black windbreaker style jacket, gray shorts and dark-colored shoes.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Bakersfield police at 327-7111.
