The latest Panda Express location to join Bakersfield is hosting a fundraiser to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County.

The new Panda Express at 35093 Merle Haggard Drive on Saturday, April 14 will be donating 20 percent of the day’s sales to the Boys & Girls Clubs as part of their grand opening celebration, according to Maggie Cushine of Boys & Girls Clubs.

“Families love that we provide a summer camp experience within the context of a traditional Boys & Girls Club setting. We need the communities help to provide engaging and fun summer programming to the children who need us most. Thank you to the newest Panda Express and their support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County,” Zane Smith, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County.

The money will go toward the club’s summer day camps in Bakersfield, Barstow, Frazier Park and Lamont. The camps allow kids to dabble in gardening, sports, STEM and the arts!
