A man is dead after crashing his truck on northbound Interstate 5 Sunday evening.
It happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Northbound I-5 just south of Grapevine Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol a white Chevy Silverado was traveling at a high are of speed when he veered right and then left for unknown reasons.
The truck collided with the concrete wall of the center divide before rolling down an embankment.
According to CHP, the driver, a man in his 40s, was ejected from the truck.
Medical aid was given, but he succumbed to his injured and died at the scene.
He was the solo occupant in the vehicle.
According to CHP it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors.
The number one lane of Northbound I-5 is shut down at this time. CHP expects it to reopen around 10 p.m.
