Bakersfield Police Department hosted a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint in the 8400 block of Ming Avenue on Tuesday night.
In total, one person was arrested for driving under the influence out of the 1,031 cars screened, according to BPD.
Fourteen drivers were found to be unlicensed and six motorists were driving on suspended licenses. One of the drivers was charged with driving in a reportedly stolen vehicle, according to police.
Bakersfield police will continue to ramp up patrols around the holiday season, in search of drivers under the influence. As always, if you see a drunk driver, call 911.
