Oildale man, woman arrested after officials locate 3 pounds of meth, drug money

A man and woman were arrested over the weekend after deputies found several pounds of methamphetamine in their Oildale home.

Antonio Valdez, 37 and Kimberly Long, 34, were arrested after Kern County Sheriff’s Office searched their home in the 100 block of Beardsley Avenue and found three pounds of meth, evidence of sales, and nearly $2,500, according to KCSO.

Valdez was arrested for keeping a place to sell controlled substances, possession of a controlled substance for sale, conspiracy to commit a crime, resisting arrest, and participation in a criminal street gang. His bail is set at $62,500.

Long was also arrested for keeping a place to sell controlled substances, possession of a controlled substance for sale, conspiracy to commit a crime, and participation in a criminal street gang. Her bail is set at $57,000.

Deputies from the Electronic Monitoring Program and a K-9 team assisted in the search warrant and arrests.
