More Kern County line signs honoring veterans go up along highways

Another sign is up welcoming travelers to Kern County while showing its commitment to local veterans.

The sign recently went up at Highway 14 and eastbound on Avenue A in Rosamond. Veterans Services director Dick Taylor says the sign was installed this week.

Another one is being prepared on the westbound Highway 58 near Boron.

In all, 14 signs are being installed on state highways that cross the county line.

The signs are being paid for by the local non-profit Patriots of Kern without taxpayer money.
