Missing at-risk Clovis man seen in Bakersfield

UPDATE: Haney was located on Wednesday morning in Watsonville, according to Clovis Police Department. He was unharmed. 

An at-risk 87-year-old man reported missing in Clovis early Tuesday morning was seen at a Fastrip in South Bakersfield.

Gerald Haney, 87, of Clovis, was last seen at 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday driving a red Toyota Camry with a license plate of 5WGB569, according to the Clovis Police Department. 

Seven hours later, a transaction was made with Haney’s credit card at the Fastrip located at 6401 H Street in Bakersfield. 

Bakersfield police checked the surveillance footage at the gas station and confirmed the man in the video is Haney. He did not appeared to be in distress, police said. 

As of Wednesday morning, Haney is still missing, according to Clovis Police.
