Students at Mira Monte High School will be dismissed early today, California Highway Patrol reported.

The school will be dismissed at 10:30 a.m. due to a crash at S. Fairfax Road and Zephyr Lane that has caused a power outage, according to Kern High School District.

There is also a longterm closure at the intersection while crews respond to the solo-vehicle crash.

Shirley Lane Elementary School, Zephyr Lane Elementary School and Fairfax Junior High School are not calling an early dismissal, according to a representative from Shirley Lane.

The crash appears to be non-injury. Crews are expected to open the roadway by 1:30 p.m.
