BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. (KGET) — Those looking for a free BBQ lunch – plus a chance to hang out with local law enforcement – are in luck.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office is hosting “Carne with a Cop” at the front of the Buttonwillow substation at 181 E. 1st St.
The event is being held to give deputies a chance to meet with the public while enjoying a meal. Free BBQ will be served while supplies last, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
