Maya Cinemas is opening this weekend!

Maya Cinemas says a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place for its newest theater, the Maya Delano 12 Cinemas & MPX, at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, at its location at 401 Woollomes Ave.

The theater will open to the public at 3:30 p.m. May 17.

The ceremony will feature a tribute to the city of Delano, and will honor the families of Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta, and Larry Itliong, icons of labor, according to Maya. Maya will feature the films “Cesar Chavez” and “Dolores” in addition to “Deadpool 2”, “The Avengers: Infinity War”, “Overboard”, and many other big features during the opening celebratory week.

There will be entertainment all weekend, from bands, dancers, DJ’s, a magician on Friday, face painting and more for the family. Maya is a family-friendly company that features Family Day with greatly reduced pricing, as well as Senior Day with the lowest pricing around.

The theater will feature premium large format MPX with laser projection, 360 surround sound, deluxe plush recliners and rocker seats.
