Man suffers major injuries after shooting in Northeast Bakersfield

A man is in the hospital with major injuries after he was involved in a shooting in Northeast Bakersfield.

On Jan. 20 at 12:39 p.m., deputies responded to a home in the 2100 block of Elmyra Avenue for a shooting that had just happened, according to Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

When officers arrived, they found a 42-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his stomach.

He was transported to Kern Medical with major injuries.

No arrests have been made.
