Man hospitalized after being hit by vehicle

A man is hospitalized with major injuries after he was hit by a vehicle in South Bakersfield Saturday afternoon. 

Police say the man was pushing an empty baby stroller as he stepped out from the median and in front of a truck near Golden West Casino. 

Authorities say the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The sobriety of the pedestrian is not yet known.
