Man found with stab wounds on New Year’s Day dies


Update: The man who was taken to the hospital for multiple stab wounds in the early morning of New Year’s Day has died today. The victim has been identified as Luciano Jose Ramos, 38, of Bakersfield.

A man was taken to Kern Medical from Lamont overnight, after he was found suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Kern County Sheriff’s officials say around 1:30 New Year’s morning, the man, who has since been identified as Ramos, was found in the grassy area near an apartment complex in the 8000 block of Hall Road.

He was suffering from multiple stab wounds, but KCSO say he was conscious and breathing when he left for the hospital via ambulance.
